Karan Johar is singled out among a large group of individuals as the primary target for fostering a culture of nepotism in Bollywood. But the truth is that Bollywood has a long history of nepotism that predates the present crop of celebrity children. Long before Ananya Pandey, Janhvi Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, and Suhana Khan, Bollywood had nepo babies. A product of nepotism in his own right, Sanjay Dutt is the son of the well-known actor, politician, and filmmaker Sunil Dutt. For those who are unaware, Sanjay Dutt had his acting debut with the 1981 film Rocky, which was directed by his father. This was followed by a series of films that were critical and commercial failures.
7. Aamir Khan
Aamir Khan comes from a very well-connected family in the Bollywood industry. Aamir’s uncle Nasir Hussain was successful in the film industry as a producer, director, and writer. Aamir Khan is most known for his role in the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, which was directed by Aamir Khan’s cousin Mansoor Khan and produced by Aamir Khan’s uncle Nasir Hussain.
